Ophthalmic Technician

Underthe direct supervision of the Director of Ophthalmology the OphthalmicTechnician evaluates patient's visual status, documents past medical and ocularhistories, confirms medical drug regimen, quantifies visual acuity, performsdiagnostic visual testing, assists physicians with ophthalmic care of patientsand is responsible for the maintenance of ophthalmic equipment. Assists an EyeCenter Physician and other technical support personnel to perform diagnosticstests necessary for evaluation of patient eye problem.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum one year related experience as a Medical Office Assistant or equivalent.
Ophthalmic Technician certification preferred.
Basic computer skills required.
Good communication skills with patients and staff to provide information.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
